About Awana 2019-2020: Volunteer and Child Registration

Welcome to Awana at Countryside!

Volunteers

Awana seeks to teach and disciple children through memorizing Scripture, building relationships with godly role models (that's you!) and learning age-appropriate Bible lessons that lead to life changes. Volunteers in Awana are part of a team that consciously works to demonstrate to the children the best that walking with Christ has to offer. Most volunteers will closely interact with the children each week, but there are also important roles that do not. Finally, it is our desire to serve the volunteers by providing a supportive environment in which they can serve the Lord and grow in their walk with Him.

You can find descriptions of each role here.

Attendees

We're excited to spend this year teaching your child about Christ and how to live the Christian life. The Awana program encourages spiritual growth through age-appropriate study and memorization of Scripture. The program is most successful with the active support of you, the parent or guardian. We need your participation each week at home -- helping and encouraging your child to learn the verses, discussing what they mean, and showing how to apply them in life.

All Awana participants need a uniform and program handbook. You will select the materials your child needs (shirt size, Bible translation, etc.) as Add-ons during the registration. We ask that you pay for the uniform and handbook for your child.*

On the first night of Awana, bring your completed medical form(s) and payment with you.

*If financial concerns would keep your child from participating, please talk to us. We can help.
